I think it was a good idea for Da Chen to come to a local school to share his experiences with students, and teach them not to take what they have for granted.

I think it was good that Da Chen went to a local school because he told the students about his life and what he had to do to get to where he is. When he was telling the students his stories he said that life is like a river. You dont know what is going to happen in your life untill it happens.

Thats completely unfair, why couldnb’t he come here!!
=]
No, but really I think we should try to contact him, maybe we can even do some fundraisers to help him pay for the transportation. Or we could write him letters beggin him to come back.

I think that for many people it was a good idea for Da Chen to come here and explain his book because even though you’re reading what he went through, you can never really experience it until you’ve heard it from their own mouth.

i think that it was a good idea for Da Chen to speak about his book and all the experiences he went through. just like brandon said you can never really experience it until you’ve heard it from their own mouth.

It’s a great idea to teach local kids about the horrors experienced by the people in China during Mao’s reign. It gives them a better understanding of the status of the world on a larger scale, and shows them that nothing they have to deal with can possibly be as bad. American children are very lucky.

It’s very nice that he’s doing that and sharing his life stories with kids. It could make a big impact on some kids life’s and people like to hear about other peoples life’s.
hes comminggg!

I think its very nice that he is visiting our school and other schools and tells kids about his life. He probably has a lot of different life experiences that we can learn from.

i think its pretty darn cool that he goes to schools and talks about his book =] i would really like him to come to our school so we could possibly learn more about the book and the knowledge he has behind his reasoning for writing it.

I agree with Chen. I believe that people should enjoy life and experience it to it’s fullest. And I mean he has something there about destiny, but I think that also has to do with taking on life’s oppurtunitys and chalenges when you are given the chance. So sitting arouind on your couch all day isn’t going to get you anywhere.
I admire him a lot too for not giving up, even when life got so hellish that there shouldnt have been a reason in the world left to have hope.
